Back Page Artists

Since its inception in 2014, ENCORE arts & culture magazine ENCORE has reserved its back cover as a dedicated space to showcase the work of Maltese photographers and artists.

Rather than filling this space with advertising, ENCORE has treated the back cover as a gallery: a full-page platform where a single photograph or artwork is given room to breathe and speak on its own terms. Over the years, the back cover has featured established names alongside emerging talent, spanning documentary photography, fine art, illustration and mixed media. This consistent patronage has grown, issue by issue, into an evolving visual record of contemporary artistic practice in Malta.
