APS Bank’s CSR call returns this summer
From June through August, APS Bank will once again open its annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) funding call, inviting organisations across Malta and Gozo to submit ideas that can create lasting, meaningful impact.
Community engagement has long been central to APS Bank’s identity. Since its founding in 1910, the bank has sought to support communities through collaboration, a principle that continues to shape its CSR programme today.
At the heart of the initiative are three key pillars: arts, lifelong learning and sustainability.
These focus areas guide the bank’s support for projects that enrich cultural life, expand access to education and promote environmental responsibility.
What distinguishes the APS Bank CSR funding call is its emphasis on collective impact. Rather than focusing on a limited number of large-scale initiatives, the bank prioritises a broad range of community-led projects, encouraging applicants to collaborate, co-create and seek co-funding where possible. Over the years, this model has translated into tangible outcomes. From supporting artistic productions and cultural heritage initiatives to backing educational programmes, sustainability campaigns and well-being projects, APS Bank’s CSR efforts have helped foster stronger, more connected communities. The consistently high response to the annual call, with hundreds of applications submitted each year, reflects the programme’s reach and growing demand.
Beyond funding, the bank’s commitment to community is also reflected in ongoing initiatives and partnerships, including the Malta Sustainability Forum, APS Talks and collaborative spaces such as the APS Hub. The CSR funding call is open to NGOs, voluntary organisations and not-for-profit entities that can demonstrate clear outcomes and long-term benefits.
Applications submitted during the 2026 cycle, from June through August, must relate to projects that will be carried out in 2027 and should be completed through the official online form available at apsbank.com.mt/community-engagement.
